Event Report

Several hundred people rallying for workers rights in San Bernardino. Central Labor Council Secretary-Treasurer Laurie Stalnaker kicked off our rally blasting Banks, Wall Street and Corporations. Calling them free loaders, Workers didn’t create this problem and Governments cannot balance their budgets off the backs of workers.
Stalnaker was followed by speakers from FireFighters, Nurses, Teachers, Classified and Private Sector Employees including Building Trades, Union members all across the Inland Empire with friends and family as well. Then all heard from Congressman Joe Baca.
Bill Lathrop President UFCW 1167, finished the rally speaking to the crowd and directly to the worker’s inside Fresh N Easy telling them UFCW stands ready to assist them to a better life.

It was very encouraging to see my union brothers and sisters at this rally. The corporate media wants us to feel isolated and without hope. Going to rallies like these makes me feel that there is hope and that we can make a difference by standing together! Thank you!
